Mesa, I broke down in tears with those words “Stay Tender.” The rolie polie bug. Oh to be one. It is the tender in us that allows us to see the beauty, the pain. To capture it in poems, writing our way through. It fucking hurts. But if we do not stay tender the world loses the best of us. Thank you for this reminder. I felt this piece in my soul.
Thank you for that timely reminder Mesa, I needed that today first thing in the morning. Your words teared me up in a good way. I so appreciate you. xo Jay
Staying tender is the way. Curling yourself around the pain keeps it in. It calcifies. Encrusts. We become smaller, scareder, more alone. Grow your heart around it, until your heart is big enough to hold it all. All tender. Not easy, not fun, but necessary. The fetal position is not an embrace.
Such a lovely, gentle reminder that’s it’s not just okay to be tender-hearted, it’s necessary. Essential even. I often berate myself for not being as tough as I once thought I was. There was a time I could keep almost anyone and anything “out”. Now I let everything in. I thought it was a design flaw but perhaps it’s a design flow, meant to help me be connected with all that is offered. Thank you for this. Can’t wait to get my heart (and hands) on a copy of Meg’s book. 💗
Wise words from a wonderful woman. It's a challenge to stay true to your heart. Thanks for the reminder to stay true to my heart. ❤️❤️❤️

I cried too. A great big sob escaped me as soon as I turned to that page.
And it would, wouldn’t it? Lose the best of us.
I’m so glad you needed this too. 🫂❤️🩹

Thank you, Gregg. So very true.
You are your best when beautifully tender. The walls, an illusory promise as you say, never feel as good. The clouds - wonderful reminder to look up.
I’m so glad I followed that nudge to go outside! A bright spot today. 🩵🩵
