I would tell her to just “ be yourself and accept who you are.” Seems like it took me a lifetime to understand and practice this. Still a work in progress. Luv reading your pieces, so relatable and enjoyable. Peace and love to you 💕
I'd tell him that being bald like your dad would not be the end of the world.🙂 I would also tell him that his most important dreams would hold for 50 years and then some.
If I could tell my 17 year old self just one piece of wisdom that my 68 year old self has gained since then it would be: “Don’t!” “Don’t be the fool you think you are and throw away the love of your life because you THINK you have to protect her from yourself.” “Talk to her, tell her what you feel, fear and want to protect her from, the broken you that you’ve kept hidden for the 17 years you’ve known and LET her decide for herself.”
I will tell my younger self some things:
1. "Don't think your being fat lessens your worth as a person (i was a chubby baby when i was born, therefore, i look fat a little bit)".
2. "There's nothing wrong with being different. It's totally natural that some people aren't the same as others".
3."Don't try to fit in. Either find your tribe or create one for yourself".
Contrary to what everyone says, I would tell my younger self that life is long, slow down, pay attention to the people in your life.
I love that!!! That's good advice right now <3

Don’t believe everyone is smarter than you.
Love that!!!
It’s pretty amazing what we tell ourselves.
It really is.

This is sweet!
There’s a long list of things I’d tell my younger self
Here’s a short list 😎
Speak up for yourself and others
Don’t judge yourself or others
Believe in your talents, don’t hide
Be kind, don’t complain
Wait to marry and you don’t have to marry
I love this Susan!! Believe in your talents-don’t hide!!!!
I would tell her you are OK. Really. What you feel is different about you is a strength
Thank you for this. It opened up things I’ve tried to say elsewhere but was able to articulate here.
You're so very welcome 🫶🏻

That’s such a heavy piece to have been carrying for so long!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻
