Have you ever wondered at the impact of one decision?
The box sat in the back of my closet for two months before I opened it. The last bits and pieces of a life gone too soon. A folder containing official looking documents stood out among the pictures, my curiosity piqued. Within its folds were pages from their divorce and a protective order. My mom asked for full custody of me and an order to keep my father away. Four year old me had been rendered catatonic. She left because Iād hidden my voice away inside. My silence was her catalyst.
